The Ancient Egyptians were incredibly superstitious and wary of their actions. Because of their strong religious beliefs, the Ancient Egyptians came to the conclusion that anything that happened in their lives was due to the power of the Gods. (Nardo, 2013). The people were constantly ensuring that they did everything they could to please and fulfill the requests of their Gods and Goddesses. It was a tiresome job, but it had to be done. |

In return for being properly catered for, the Gods would care for its people through fertility and good fortune. ((Knowledge Network By and For Educators, 2016). This could be in the form of a good crop season or having a successful childbirth. Generally, anything that could be decided by fate was controlled by the Gods. However, if a God wasn’t properly cared for and praised, the God would punish its people through plagues, famines or other natural disasters (Knowledge Network By and For Educators, 2016) |
